The body is hard anodised to 60 microns thickness — inside and outside — giving it its signature deep black colour through a process that fundamentally transforms the aluminium surface rather than painting it. This means the black finish is scratch-proof, corrosion-proof, and permanent — it will not chip, peel, or dull through years of daily cooking.
